Under One Roof in Manatee County is a comprehensive women’s shelter and recovery center providing housing, addiction recovery, and other services under one facility, to support women impacted by addiction, homelessness, and trauma. As a volunteer with Bring On the Ministry you will assist with cooking/serving meals and engaging in worship, in support of women housed at the facility.

Join us for Stand Down, hosted by Turning Points (tpmanatee.org).  Turning Points provides a remarkable variety of services designed to assist individuals and families on their path to financial stability and independence.

This event hosts many vendors and services to connect veterans and community members with agencies and resources to help meet a wide variety of needs.  Bring on the Ministry will be:

• Cooking & serving breakfast and lunch for everyone at the event (volunteers & attendees)
• Working closely with community partners and agencies to assist members of the community connect with needed services

Volunteer shifts are from 5AM – 11AM or 11AM – 3PM

Please join us for a fun event blessing our seniors at local nursing homes! Every year, Bring On the Ministry adopts over 1,500 seniors and delivers stuffed holiday bags to least-visited nursing homes. We are kindly asking for donations in the form of supplies from the list provided, and for volunteers to stuff and deliver the bags.

*To donate supplies:

• All items can be purchased at Dollar Tree or online in our AMAZON WISHLIST (click here) .
• Bring all donation items to the ministry headquarters (Holy Cow Ice Cream, 3234 East Bay Drive, Holmes Beach) no later than Wednesday, 12/02. This will allow us to properly assess which items are needed to fill the bags.

The Navigation Program connects individuals to services in the community such as schools, daycare, food banks, and more! In 2025 Bring On the Ministry assisted countless community members to much needed services.

This service is offered on a first come, first serve basis at Hungers End on the designated dates/times; or by appointment by calling (330) 333-9873.

A shower trailer is made available, free of charge, to help community members find a place where they can take a hot shower in a private, clean, and dignifying environment. In 2025, Bring on the Ministry facilitated OVER 2200 SHOWERS with the help of volunteers like you!

It takes a LOT of hands-on effort to make this happen every Monday. Volunteers are needed to make the mobile showers available, including signing up users and cleaning each shower between uses. Other duties include providing toiletries, towels, socks, washcloths, and other essential items as requested.

Washers and dryers are made available, at no charge to community members in need. This program reaches beyond doing laundry and facilitating general hygiene; it helps individuals attend appointments, group meetings, and more, in clean clothes. It also helps restore their sense of dignity, self-confidence, and self-worth. In 2025, Bring On the Ministry facilitated OVER 1400 LOADS OF LAUNDRY with the help of volunteers like you!

Volunteers are needed to provide breakfast and start washers and dryers. This is also a great time to connect with other volunteers in a fun and relaxed environment.

Drop by Holy Cow Ice Cream and share the love! We are accepting unused and sealed food donations to help neighbors in need. In 2025 Bring On the Ministry was able to provide loads of food, water, and more to countless community members.

Your food items and contributions make a direct impact in the lives of friends and neighbors!

We help neighbors move into a home after homeless or emergency sheltering, by providing starter kits containing essential household items.  In 2025, 142 families received Welcome Home Kits with contributions from friends like you!

We understand the need, and with your help we will support our neighbors in their transition into independent living.
